One of my first pieces, this A4-sized papercut depicts a lone deer which stands as a symbol of grace and resilience, surrounded by the embracing branches of majestic trees.
I sought to infuse this piece with the essence of Robert Frost's timeless poem, "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening." These poignant lines resonate within the artwork:
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
May this piece serve as a visual ode to the beauty of nature, the resilience of the soul, and the profound wisdom found in moments of quiet contemplation. Allow the lone deer, the embracing branches, and the majestic mountains to inspire you on your own journey, reminding you to cherish the beauty and depths that lie within the lovely, dark, and deep woods of life.
